Roller Bearing Introduction
Roller Bearing Introduction
Roller Bearings are one of the most important basic components in the machine industry.
Roller Bearing are bearings that are often used. The user only needs to select the type and size of the bearing according to the specific working conditions, check the bearing capacity of the bearing, and design the combined structure of the bearing (bearing positioning, disassembly, adjustment, lubrication, sealing, etc.).
Roller Bearing bearings rely on rolling contact between components to withstand loads,
Compared with sliding bearings, roller bearings have the advantages of low frictional resistance, high efficiency, easy starting, and convenient installation and maintenance.
The disadvantages are poor impact resistance, low speed and heavy load life, and high noise and vibration.
The basic structure of a roll bearing consists of an inner ring, an outer ring, a rolling element and a cage.
Commonly used rollers are balls, cylindrical rollers, needle rollers, tapered rollers,
Roller bearing are typically made of bearing steels such as GCr15 and GCr15SiMn. After heat treatment, the hardness should reach 61-65hrc.
The cage has two constructions: stamping and solid. The stamping cage is usually made of low-carbon steel plate, which has large gap with the rolling stock and high working noise. The solid cage is usually made of a polymer material such as a copper alloy, an aluminum alloy or a phenolic resin, and has good isolation and centering effects.
When the drum is a cylinder or a needle roller, sometimes in order to reduce the radial dimension of the bearing, the inner ring, the outer ring or the cage may be omitted, and the journal or the bearing housing should function as an inner ring or an outer ring. In order to meet certain needs in use, some bearings use special structures or components, such as an outer ring with a snap ring, an additional dust cover, and the like.
