(1) Check the contact face between the bearing and the face of the support with a gauge after the slewing bearing being flatly lifted onto the bracket. If there is clearance,fill it with shims or apply the method of filling with a resin in order to avoid a distortion after the bolts being tightened.
(2) Soft zone (hardening) should be located at the least loaded area
(3) The mounting bolts of slewing bearing should have the quality necessary for the loading conditions and according to our calculation.
(4) Washers used should be flat and hardened.
(5) Spring washers are absolutely prohibited and mean the cancelling of the guarantee.
(6) Mounting bolts should have pre-tightening force which is 0.7 times of the yield limit of bolts. Use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts. The actual pre-tightening torque or force of mounting bolts after strict calculation according to the loading condition, specification and quantity are showed in the table below:

a. The value in the table sheet should be recalculated if the standard of bolts is not GB5782 or GB5783.
b. The total friction factor between the head of bolt and tightened face: μ=0.14. The bolts must be greased before assembly with lubricant oil.
c. The tightened length of bolts: LK=5d (length of bolt)
d. The strength grade of nut should reach the regulation of GB3098.2-2000 and can be lower than the bolt's strength by one grade.
(7) Check the backlash between the gear of the pinion and the bearing to make sure that it meets the precision required.
(8) The bolts should be installed symmetrically and successionally at angle of 180°. At last; all bolts should be tightened again to make sure that they have the same pre-tightening tension. Please screw down the bolts.
(9) After installation
a. Make sure that the installation has not caused any deformation of slewing bearings.
b. Make sure that there is no deformation that may reduce life of slewing ring bearing.
c. Connecting the ground line nearby the slewing bearing and welding the bearing with other assembly are forbidden.
d. Turning the slewing bearing more than three circles after all bolts be tightened and check whether there is any interference between the other parts and the slewing bearings or any abnormal noise and whether the seal is in good condition or not. Recheck the value of clearance at the side of teeth and make a record of these values.
