Application:

Slewing bearings are widely used in smooth, low-friction movement between two or more surfaces. The bearings can be used in almost everywhere such as rotary devices or rigging and transportation equipment, excavating equipment, port equipment, and military equipment. Larger sized bearings can be applied to heavy industries.

Components:

Generally, slewing bearings have installation holes, internal gear or external gear, lubricants holes and sealing devices. They enable the main frame of the part compact and easy to maintain. They are ball or cylindrical roller bearings that can accommodate axial, radial and moment loads. The acting can be either singly or in combination.

Classification:

According to the movement, operation principle and load capacity, there are different types of slewing bearings that are available in the market. They mainly fall into five types: four point contact ball slewing bearing, double-row ball slewing bearing, cross roller slewing bearing, three-row roller slewing bearing and ball-roller type slewing bearing. Different bearings have different anti-friction characteristics. Almost all bearings are lubricated. According to the bearing application there are aircraft bearing, instrument bearing, marine bearing, automotive bearing, machine tool bearing, clutch release bearing, electric motor bearing, engine bearing and so on.
